PSG CHASE KAKA

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has said that he is of the belief that Real Madrid midfielder Kaka still remains as one of the best players in the world. The former AC Milan midfielder has been troubled with a number of injury problems after making a then-world record move to Real Madrid for £ 62 million.

The arrival of Ozil has also reduced the opportunities for Kaka in the first-team. It is thought that Real Madrid manager José Mourinho will be willing to sell the player in the summer in order to raise funds for buying a defensive midfielder.

PSG are one of the club’s interested in securing the services of the Brazilian due to a number of personnel who have previously worked with Kaka. The first and foremost has to be the PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is widely acknowledged to have brought out the best in Kaka. Leonardo, who is currently the sporting director at the club, also has excellent connections with the Brazilian.

As a result, PSG have emerged as the top destination for Kaka over a potential return to his homeland. Despite his poor form with the Spanish club, Leonardo believes that Kaka can once again show his quality if he gets regular game time.

”Kaka is surely a great player, with enormous potential. But he has suffered severe injuries, which damaged him. He is at a very competitive club, in which everything happens very fast. But he has not lost the hunger for the game,” said Leonardo. It is thought that PSG will be prepared to pay as much as £ 30 million for the 30-year-old, who has only a few years of high-level football left in him. Kaka helped Real Madrid win the Spanish league this season, which was also his first major trophy at the club.
