MBAPPE: PSG OFFER RECORD-BREAKING DEAL
One-time Champions League finalist Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have offered a record-breaking deal to star player KylianMbappe as they attempt to sign him to a new deal. French World Cup winner Mbappe has four months left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes. According to Spanish newspaperMarca, PSG have offered Mbappe approximately 1 million Euros weekly in a bid to persuade him to sign a new contract amidst the strong interest from Real Madrid thus making him the highest paid player in the world of football.
PSG director Leonardo confirmed earlier this season that Real Madrid tried to sign Mbappe last summer when he had one year left on hiscontract at the club. Leonardo has made a final effort to sign Mbappe to a new contract by offering him a salary that would make the former AS Monaco attacker the highest paid player as far as the round leather game is concerned.
Mbappe has been the go-to player at PSG this season despite the presence of Lionel Messi who was signed as a free transfer last summer after Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona were unable to offer him a new deal due to financial constraints. Mbappe has scored 22 goals and provided 13 assists in the colours of PSG this season. The Frenchman showed his class when he scored late in the Champions League last 16 first leg clash with Real Madrid at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday to give PSG a 1-0 lead ahead of the second leg in Madrid in two weeks.
