BAYERN MUNICH INTERESTED IN BRAZILIAN ACE
Bayern Munich have been linked with the transfer of Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho. It is understood that the German Champions are contemplating making an official bid for the player as they look to strengthen this summer.
Bayern Munich already have an alternative option in Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic. The former Sevilla man is valued at £50 million which is half the price demanded for Coutinho.
Meanwhile, reports from England says that Barcelona have already tabled a transfer worth £100 million-plus Coutinho for Neymar.
Neymar is interested in the move and has already informed the French club that he wants to leave. However, there have been stumbling blocks so far. The French champions want the full transfer fee they paid for the forward two seasons ago.
PSG general manager Leonardo revealed that there is a strong possibility of a transfer but the club has not decided on anything. He, however, admitted that the player has asked to be transferred away from the club.
With his statements, Leonardo has confirmed reports that Neymar is nearing an exit from the French club.
French media claims that there are negotiations between PSG and Barcelona ongoing, with Real Madrid waiting in the wings.
Neymar is regarded as one of the top footballers in the world after shining in Brazil and in large parts at Barcelona. This transfer looks like one that is likely to happen sooner than later.
The arrival of Neymar to Barcelona would give manager Ernesto Valverde selection headache ahead of the season. It would also mean that fellow countryman Philippe Coutinho would be leaving the club.
